Event Standard Ts and Cs

I understand and acknowledge that by my entry into this event I agree to abide by the Organiser’s Terms and Conditions of entry in their entirety, as presented to and agreed by me at the time of booking.

Identity

I confirm that I have entered this event in my own name and will be the one taking part in the event. I confirm that I will not give by bib number to anyone else and understand should anyone else be found to be participating under my bib number, myself and the particpant will be banned from taking part in all future Rat Race events.

Mandatory Kit

I confirm I have read the mandatory kit guide for this event and that I will carry all the mandatory kit at all times. I understand there will be spot checks on the event and if I am unable to produce the required item I will not be allowed to continue. If I am pulled from the event for failing a spot mandatory kit check I am not entitled to any refund as it is my responsibility to carry all of this kit as part of my event participation.

Live Roads

I understand that this event takes place on live roads and other rights of way: i.e. vehicles, cycles and pedestrian traffic are active and no roads are closed to them. Therefore, I must give way to any vehicle or pedestrian requiring it - and follow any marshalling instructions given to me during the event. I will STRICTLY observe the Highway Code throughout.

Countryside Code

I understand that this event takes place on and through areas which are farmland. I understand that when passing through these areas that I should adhere to the Countryside Code which includes no littering, shutting all gates after passing through them, keep noise levels low, not disturbing livestock by walking past them and giving them plenty of space when passing them. I will STRICTLY observe the Countryside Code throughout.

Tracking Equipment

I agree that I am responsible for my tracker and that if I lose or damage it the organisers reserve the right to charge me £150 towards its replacement.

Photography and Film

I understand that, under the Event Terms and Conditions, I have consented to my likeness being used for the transmission of film and/ or photography by the organisers and/ or their agents, including for the purposes of the transmission of footage on TV. I agree that all photography or film that I capture of the event will be for personal use only.
